The application of artificial intelligence (AI) accelerates the progress of human society! An idea from your life and mine, with the assistance of AI technology, may bring a better future life to mankind. The third Ideathon of Ministry of Digital Affairs（MODA）, which explores people's imagination and creativity, invites all people regardless of age and nationality to submit applications. This year's theme is "WeWe Futures: 2040 Extended Intelligence", encourages good ideas from all walks of life with diverse contents, and explores the imagination and expectations of the new future of human-machine integration in 2040.

Tang Feng, Minister of MODA, said that in the past, when people came up with an idea, it would take a long time to see it turned into a picture, a movie, or a computer program, but now as long as it is accurately describing ideas, with the help of AI technology, your wishes can really come true, but what is more important is whether these realized creations meet the expectations of society or make society more democratic. Everyone can control it. Our own lives still cause many bad consequences that we did not expect. These thoughts are worth thinking about.

Minister Tang pointed out that in the previous two Ideathons, there were many creative works. For example, some creators focused on news reports and online information, allowing different people to interact more with each other. Understand and translate in a way that will not cause controversy, and such technology has already occurred. Therefore, in order to accelerate the generation of such creative ideas, the digital department hopes to realize the wisdom of the crowd through Idea Pine.

Minister Tang also emphasized that MODA officially became a partner of the international non-governmental organization "Collective Intelligence Project (CIP)" on May 25 last year, thus attracting many foreign friends to join Ideathon. The first two Ideathons collected more than 3,000 ideas. Through deliberation-style workshops, they launched a dialogue with the international community, not only introducing Taiwanese people’s imagination of AI and meeting the expectations of Taiwanese society. The next Ideathon will integrate with large international platforms such as Meta, Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI to collect expectations and opinions from these workshops and provide specific responses.

The third Ideathon is open from now until July 15th. Regardless of age or nationality, individuals or teams can submit items. Each person or team can submit up to 3 items, and the online submission time only takes 4 minutes to write the name of the submitter, the title, content, and auxiliary images of the idea and upload it. Submitters use "Future Vision" to describe what they foresee in life, community, workplace, and various environments and fields. They can describe it through pure text, or express it through pictures, texts, images, etc.

The works that pass the first and second round selection will be deepened by the guidance of experts and scholars to help refine the value of the works, and then the works will be submitted to the final round selection. It is hoped that the creativity collected through the event will stimulate future innovation of cutting-edge technologies. The total prize money planned for this event is up to 2.6 million yuan. Each award will receive a prize money and a certificate (or medal), and you can choose a physical or digital certificate (medal) as a souvenir.
